Jessen Swider is a Certified Veterinary Technologist, originally from the Finger Lakes Region of NY. She graduated from SUNY Canton with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2017, and another Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Postdam in 2018. Her passion for wildlife biology, ecology, and environmental stewardship led her to pursue an initial career in wildlife medicine. She completed a post-graduate internship at Cornell Univeristy’s Wildlife Hospital, and shortly after began working for the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable. She made the transition to Brewster Vet in January 2025. Jessen is a lifelong lover of Cape Cod, having spent summers here at her grandparent’s cottage, and eventually moving here full time. She has two pets: a golden retriever named Willow, and a gray tabby cat named Kitchen. In her spare time, she enjoys surfing and beach time, hiking mountains, camping, live music, and any outdoor adventure with her husband and dog.
